Sorbonite® for refilling the Odor Bag and the upcoming DryDrain®.
When the smell reappears after a long time, it is time to replace the Sorbonite® in your Odor Bag.

Sorbonite® odor reduction was verified for over 20 years ago via Land and Water Technology at KTH, because Sorbonite® has a high pH (>11), bacteria and viruses are killed, and odors are also removed. The pH drops after a period of use and Sorbonite® is then replaced.

Sorbonite® is provided in the fractions 2-4 mm and 4-6 mm in Xodor’s own products, other fractions can be provided as needed. The material can, with its unique bacteria-killing ability and stable construction, also function in air flows with high relative humidity.

DryDrain® with Sorbonite® removes odors and reduces the risk of spreading bacteria and viruses from dry floor drains but also from other sources such as washbasins and the like – a proactive solution. The product will initially come in two versions – DryDrain® IN is placed in the floor drain (130 mm) and DryDrain® ON is placed on top of the floor drain screen (200 mm). The product is a passive solution that also

– Delays the drying out of floor drains

– Makes it easier to clean the floor drain, hair sticks to the DryDrain®

– DryDrain® is designed so that the function of floor drains and washbasins is not negatively affected when used

– A refill of Sorbonite® will be avaliable so DryDrain® can be reused

Together with Xodor’s Odor Bags, which can be used instead of vacuum valves, DryDrain® helps to significantly reduce the problems with bad odors and the spread of infection from dried-out water traps when there is negative pressure in the sewage systems.

DryDrain® will be launched in 2025.

Odor bag

The odor bag is installed in 110 mm pipes in vents for e.g. sewage systems, grease traps and house ventilation. It also works as a replacement for vacuum valves and will soon be available in several sizes – 32mm, 40mm, 50mm and 75mm. With DryDrain®, the odor bag reduces the risk of negative pressure and subsequent problems with negative pressure in sewage systems. The content is the calcium silicate Sorbonite®, which has a high pH value, which kills bacteria and thus bad odors.

The bag is reused when the odor returns (the pH value drops over time) and new Sorbonite® is filled in the bag. Sorbonite and bag are water resistant and do not need to be protected from rain.
